Erie
Coke Corporation pledges to continue to adhere to its Company policy of
"Quality through Consistency and Commitment." Since the awareness and
insight of tomorrow rely upon the knowledge and decisions of today, our
employees remain dedicated to work for continued improvement in product
quality and customer service.
In
1997 Erie Coke set a goal that would not only further establish our
integrity, but also allow us to remain competitive in the new
millennium. We set out in earnest to achieve ISO 9002 & QS-9000
Registration, and in December 1998 this objective was reached.

In May 2010 the company made a successful change to the ISO 9001:2008
quality system and in December of 2004 we completed our 10th ISO
Renewal Audit by gaining unconditional approval for continued
registration.
Erie
Coke's
accredited quality system positively enhances our ability to
consistently provide the customer with a product and services among the

Product Quality
Erie
Coke customers expect - and get - a high performance coke product. By
utilizing the latest technology, our laboratory technicians analyze raw
materials for the critical properties of ash, sulfur and fluidity.
These test results dictate the precision blends that yield the
highest-caliber coke product.

Unless
the customer makes a specific size request (which often can be
accommodated!), our coke is typically separated into a variety of
sizes, with 6x9 inches, 4x9 inches, 4x6 inches, 2x4 inches &
1x2
inches being the most common. A crude tar by-product is also sold for
further refining.
